FOOT PAIN? WHAT’S THE CAUSE?
Several foot conditions, such as flat feet, high arches, or excessive inward rolling of your feet, can lead to discomfort, especially if your footwear doesn’t provide adequate support. We recommend visiting The Camberley Clinic for a biomechanical assessment. All new patients have a 30-minute consultation which includes a detailed history of your current symptoms, relevant medical history, and any previous treatments. This evaluation will help to pinpoint how your foot’s mechanics, your chosen footwear, and your lifestyle choices are contributing to your foot pain. We'll discuss treatment options, potential referrals (if needed), and develop a preliminary treatment plan together. If a more in-depth biomechanical assessment (BMA) is necessary, we can schedule that after your appointment. Call us today to book your consultation.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR BIOMECHANICAL ASSESSMENT
USING SPECIALIST INSOLES TO RELIEVE PAIN
At the Camberley Clinic, our bespoke orthotics are specially designed for your feet, taking into account your unique arch shape, foot structure, and any alignment issues we observe during your biomechanical consultation. Our orthotic options also include simple orthotic shoe inserts and pre-formed orthotic shoe inserts, which help support your feet during all activities. Reduced stress on previously overloaded areas of your feet can ensure your weight is more evenly distributed, not only helping to relieve pain but also improving the overall health of your feet.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
During the appointment, you will be required to walk with and without shoes for an extended period of time, and you will also be examined lying down on the examination couch. We recommend wearing comfy clothing that allows easy access to your hips, knees, ankles, and feet (for example, shorts or a close-fitting t-shirt). Please also bring the shoes you wear most often, including any slippers or house shoes you frequently wear. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call our clinic.
